TITLE: Here phishy, phishy, phishy!
WHAT: This webinar will help the audience better understand phishing schemes, including what they are, who is the most at risk for falling to these scams and the damage phishing causes. The webinar will also look at how and why mobile device users are more likely to be caught by these phishing schemes, wreaking havoc on their devices and possibly, the company’s network. The webinar will specifically review:
- How phishing attacks are evolving and potential phishing attack outcomes
- What individual users can do to protect themselves from these phishing schemes
- How enterprises can do to protect employees on the dangers and consequences of phishing
WHY: Phishing is a social engineering attack that tricks users into clicking on a link that takes them to a site that either a) delivers a malicious payload to compromise a device, or b) further tricks them into divulging their credentials. While the former immediately weaponizes the device, the latter often provides reused passwords, leading to the opportunity to compromise and penetrate corporate networks and resources. Mobile users are generally the first to visit phishing websites and are more likely to share confidential information on these websites. Further, considering how most emails are opened on mobile devices, phishing presents a unique and often overwhelming security challenge for companies of all sizes. Organizations need to know how to train employees to protect themselves and the network.
