We recently blogged about the enterprise requirement for mobile threat defense (MTD) solutions to support various, and often multiple Mobile Device Management (MDM) or Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solutions (something Zimperium uniquely provides today). As the leader in enterprise mobile security, Zimperium has the most extensive MDM integrations across all providers. Today, we are proud to announce additional support for IBM MaaS360 with Watson UEM customers.
Zimperium supports MaaS360 UEM
Zimperium has integrated Maas360 into zConsole, the administrative console that supports our award-winning mobile threat defense (MTD) solution, zIPS. With “Zimperium for MaaS360”, MaaS360 owners can now detect mobile risks and threats with Zimperium, and then set compliance and remediation policies via MaaS360. Zimperium for MaaS360 is available for download in the IBM Security App Exchange.
Utilizing zConsole’s granular and flexible group-based policy management capabilities, MaaS360 administrators can synchronize users, groups and devices. This means they don’t have to create user credentials or engage in user lifecycle management within zConsole. They can handle all user management functions right from the UEM console.
The initial user synchronization takes place during the integration setup. After that, users are managed via a process that runs at set intervals. zConsole can also perform ad hoc synchronization for cases where a user has zIPS pushed to their device and tries to start it before the MDM’s scheduled sync time.
Zimperium and Maas360 for iOS and Android
The combination of Zimperium and MaaS360 delivers protection for devices running iOS and Android, giving both organizations and their users the flexible mobile experience they require without sacrificing security.
Zimperium’s unique technology leverages our award-winning machine learning-based engine, z9, to protect mobile data, apps and sessions against device compromises, network attacks, phishing attempts and malicious apps. To date, z9 has detected 100% of zero-day mobile exploits without requiring an update or suffering from the delays and limitations of cloud-based detection.
